Renovating YDN’s Geo Technologies Site

Wednesday, May 20th, 2009

geo_logo_mediumSince the launch of GeoPlanet in June 2008, our friends at the Yahoo! Developer Network have provided us with a home for Geo Technologies’ products and information. With the launch of Yahoo! Placemaker™ and GeoPlanet Data at Where 2.0 in San Jose earlier today there’s been a bit of renovation going on behind the scenes and YDN have now pushed out a new version of our Geo Technologies web home. All of the information on GeoPlanet is still there but we’ve restructured the site’s structure to make it easier to find stuff and to include the additions to the Geo Technologies product family:

We’ll Be At Where, Where Will You Be?

Monday, May 11th, 2009

200904101236That’s Where 2.0 in San Jose, California to be precise and that means it’s the time of year when everyone interested in all things geo get together in a convention centre to listen to keynotes, chat face to face, on IRC and on Twitter, see what the big, the medium and the small players are up to and see what new products get announced.

After the amazing response to the Developer Preview of Yahoo! GeoPlanet at last year’s Where 2.0, opposite San Francisco International airport in Burlingame, Yahoo! Geo Technologies will be returning to Where 2.0 in San Jose, in the excellent company of our friends at the Yahoo! Developer’s Network.

2490335406_81a61c7668O’Reilly Radar has already been given a sneak preview of what to expect by Yahoo! Geo Technologies’ Tyler Bell and Tyler will be taking to the main stage on Wednesday to talk about Innovation Through Open Location. Geo Technologies team members from both the US and the UK will be on the Yahoo! booth and all over the convention venue so come and say “Hi” to Tyler, to myself and to the team behind GeoPlanet, Fire Eagle, this blog and our Twitter feed. We’ll also be at WhereCamp 2009 in Palo Alto immediately following Where 2.0 so if you miss us at Where you know where we’ll be.

And naturally, being Geo Technologies, yes, we do know the way to San Jose.
