That’s Where 2.0 in San Jose, California to be precise and that means it’s the time of year when everyone interested in all things geo get together in a convention centre to listen to keynotes, chat face to face, on IRC and on Twitter, see what the big, the medium and the small players are up to and see what new products get announced.
After the amazing response to the Developer Preview of Yahoo! GeoPlanet at last year’s Where 2.0, opposite San Francisco International airport in Burlingame, Yahoo! Geo Technologies will be returning to Where 2.0 in San Jose, in the excellent company of our friends at the Yahoo! Developer’s Network.
O’Reilly Radar has already been given a sneak preview of what to expect by Yahoo! Geo Technologies’ Tyler Bell and Tyler will be taking to the main stage on Wednesday to talk about Innovation Through Open Location. Geo Technologies team members from both the US and the UK will be on the Yahoo! booth and all over the convention venue so come and say “Hi” to Tyler, to myself and to the team behind GeoPlanet, Fire Eagle, this blog and our Twitter feed. We’ll also be at WhereCamp 2009 in Palo Alto immediately following Where 2.0 so if you miss us at Where you know where we’ll be.
And naturally, being Geo Technologies, yes, we do know the way to San Jose.
